Posted: Thu, Mar 16, 2006, 7:28 PM ET (0028 GMT)
The president of Sea Launch, a multinational commercial launch services company, plans to resign and take a position with emerging rival SpaceX, Space News reported late Thursday. According to the article, Jim Maser will leave his job as president of Sea Launch and take a job as a "manager" with SpaceX. Maser confirmed to Space News that he was leaving Sea Launch but declined to discuss his future plans, only saying he was "looking for new challenges" now that Sea Launch is in a relatively good state. SpaceX declined to comment on the report.
