STS-124: rollout (NASA/KSC) NASA moved the space shuttle Discovery to the launch pad Saturday morning in advance of its mission to the International Space Station scheduled for late this month. Discovery arrived at pad 39A at 6:06 am EDT (1006 GMT), a little over six hours after leaving the Vehicle Assembly Building, where it had been mounted to its external tank and solid rocket boosters. Discovery is scheduled to launch on May 31 on mission STS-124, which will deliver and install the Japanese lab module Kibo to the ISS. Components of Kibo were added to the station on the previous shuttle mission in March.
