Hubble Space Telescope (NASA) Astronomers marked on Monday the 100,000th orbit around the Earth by the Hubble Space Telescope by releasing a colorful image of a nebula. The image, of a small portion of the Tarantula nebula 170,000 light-years away, shows a region of star birth. The image was released on Monday, the day that the spacecraft completed its 100,000th orbit around the Earth since its launch in 1990.
