Moog acquires Broad Reach Engineering

Aerospace component manufacturer Moog announced this week that it has acquired Broad Reach Engineering in its latest effort to expand its space portfolio. Moog will pay $48 million to acquire Colorado-based Broad Reach, including $37 million in cash. Broad Reach, founded in 1997, is known for spacecraft electronics and software as well as supporting ground, launch, and on-orbit operations. The firm made $27 million in the previous 12 months. Moog, based near Buffalo, New York, also acquired the in-space propulsion unit of American Pacific Corporation last year and European satellite equipment manufacturer Bradford Engineering in late 2011.
