H-2B launches HTV cargo spacecraft

H-2B launch of HTV-5 (NASA) An H-2B rocket successfully launched a cargo spacecraft bound for the International Space Station on Wednesday. The H-2B lifted off from the Tanegashima Space Center at &:50 am EDT (1150 GMT, 8:50 pm local time) Wednesday and released the HTV-5 cargo spacecraft into low Earth orbit 15 minutes later. The spacecraft is carrying more than four metric tons of supplies and other cargo for the ISS. The spacecraft is scheduled to berth with the station early August 24.
