For the third straight day, weather scrubbed the planned launch of a Delta IV rocket at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.As civilian and military launch crews and support personnel were on high alert for the countdown, rain and lightning surrounded the launch area.The scrub was announced around 7:08 p.m.United Launch Alliance, the company conducting the launch, said the launch is rescheduled for Monday, July 28, at 6:43 p.m. The launch window is 65 minutes.Monday's weather forecast is a 60 percent chance of weather favorable for launch.While this was the third weather scrub, a technical issue nixed the initial launch attempt on Wednesday.The Delta IV is carrying two Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP) satellites, and an Automated Navigation and Guidance Experiment for Local Space (ANGELS) satellite.The Delta launch delay has caused the rescheduling of an Atlas V, which had been set for launch July 31.That launch of a GPS satellite is now set for Friday, Aug. 1, at a different launch pad at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
