Astronaut Buzz Aldrin made a guest appearance at Maryland Live! Casino Thursday night.

The second man to walk on the moon is in town to help kick of Maryland Live's "Win a Trip to Space" promotion. If you have a Live Rewards membership car, every time you earn points you'll be entered into the drawing.

They'll be picking names every Saturday for the next month. Four people will win the top prize - a trip into space, on board a high-altitude balloon.

Aldrin, who walked on the moon right after Neil Armstrong on the Apollo 11 mission said even though you won't make it to the moon, it would still be worth the trip.

"You will come back and you will have a lot of fun," he said. "And you should look forward to remembering it because now you can tell all your friends something that you've done that maybe they haven't done."

A company is Arizona is planning to offer those balloon rides about 100,000 feet into the sky, above 99 percent of the Earth's atmosphere. Tickets are expected to cost $75,000 for a ride that will last four to six hours.

There will be other prizes in the Maryland Live contest including zero-gravity flights and trips to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
