Over 100 science lectures and public opening events have been held in schools, universities, and key aerospace labs and bases across China for the first national space day.

The space science has come to class, with astronaut sharing experiences. "Why can't we use machine or robots to make space exploration?" said a student. Chinese astronaut, Liu Wang, answered the questions.

"Man has thoughts and can solve problems. What's the meaning of man in the outer space? That is to fully implement man's initiatives," said Liu.

Such interactions are for the Space Day of China. An alliance by middle schools in Beijing is trying to let students to know more about outer space programs. Its recent aims include launching a satellite designed by students in 2017.

"We are going to build a satellite laboratory, which can support daily popularization of science in schools, but research of students," said Zhou Youbin, Deputy Director of Aerospace Talent Exchange Center.

The ocean-going instrumentation ship Yuan Wang is open to the public.

"I am very pleased to visit Yuan Wang. Through the ship, we can have better understanding of our countries' space program," said a Middle School teacher Chen Minjie.

The first Space Day of China has set the goal to link the public to the mysteries of science, and let them have a deeper glimpse into the subject.
