UPDATE OCT. 24: BREMEN, Germany — Satellite aero- and maritime connectivity provider Global Eagle Entertainment (GEE) on Oct. 23 said its accounting firm, Ernst & Young, had declined to continue in its role for GEE’s 2017 accounting year.
GEE said it had hired KPMG LLP as a replacement and asked Ernst and Young to send a letter to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) attesting to the company’s acknowledgment of material weaknesses in its financial reporting.
GEE has failed to file its 2017 . . .
