UPDATED: SpaceX launched  a Falcon 9 rocket from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center this evening, carrying a secretive U.S. government payload known as “Zuma” to low-Earth orbit.

It was SpaceX’s third classified launch for the U.S. government, this one taking place under a deal with defense contractor Northrop Grumman. After the launch SpaceX successfully landed the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
