SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Sunday.

The rocket is carrying the secret Zuma payload for the U.S. government.

Minutes after liftoff, the Falcon 9's first stage began maneuvering its way back to the ground, for a touchdown at Landing Zone 1.

SpaceX now boasts 21 successful first-stage landings. The landings are part of the company's goal of reusing rockets.

This also marks SpaceX’s first launch of 2018.

The launch was originally scheduled to take place in November, but was scrubbed due to a rocket fairing issue. SpaceX then moved the date to Jan. 5, before pushing back to Sunday due to extreme weather.
