Vandenberg Air Force Base is preparing for a United Launch Alliance rocket launch scheduled for Saturday morning.
The ULA Delta IV Heavy rocket carrying a payload for the National Reconnaissance Office is set to take off Jan. 19 at 11:05 a.m.
Forecasts predict a 70 percent chance of favorable weather.
The launch might be visible over a large area including parts of Kern County.
This ULA launch has been postponed several times since mid-December due to mechanical issues.
