The Space Shuttle Discovery has been cleared to land Tuesday at California's Edwards Air Force Base after weather thwarted its planned landing in Florida, NASA officials said.

The shuttle has been "refocused towards a landing in California" at 5:12 am (1212 GMT), Mission Control said.
