Big things to come at Bigelow
Several years ago hotel magnate Robert Bigelow created an aerospace company, Bigelow Aerospace, interested in space tourism in general and orbiting space hotels in particular. The company has said little in recent years, but the Las Vegas Mercury predicts (about halfway down the article) that the company will have something big to announce in 2004. "We predict the new year will result in blockbuster revelations about the progress being made at his secretive North Las Vegas aerospace facility," says author George Knapp. The article offers no other details than a headline that calls the project a "floating space condo" and suggests that "NASA bigshots will play a prominent role" in the effort.
