The rockets in the Rocket Garden are all illuminated in colored lights during a past "Holidays In Space" at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

As 2019 draws to a close, what better way to celebrate the start of the holidays than with a 1960s-themed party at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to commemorate 50 years of Apollo?

This year the visitor complex will have its "Holidays in Space" be a '60s retro holiday bash where guests will be transported in time with events, images and music of the decade to feel the "groovy vibe" that the '60s were all about, according to the visitor complex's press release.

Included with daily admission, which is $57 for adults and $47 for children, the Holidays in Space event will start every day at 5 p.m. beginning Dec. 13 and last through the 31st.

Aside from the dazzling lights and decorations, there will be photo opportunities, space trivia and other surprises for guests, according to the press release.

"Also new this year, a multimedia short film event experience will take guests on a thrilling journey across NASA's historic space missions from the 1960s and into the future," according to the release.
