Soyuz-2 rocket to be launched from northwest Russia’s Plesetsk on October 10

MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. The launch of a Soyuz-2 carrier rocket from the Plesetsk space center in northwestern Russia’s Arkhangelsk Region is scheduled for October 10, 2022, the government of the nearby region has said.

The authorities of the Komi Republic that borders the Arkhangelsk Region said three districts on its territory have been designated as areas of temporary danger due to potential fall of debris.

"The launch of a Soyuz-2 carrier rocket with a spacecraft is scheduled for October 10, 2022, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome," the Komi government said in a statement.

"Aerial survey will be conducted in the designated areas between October 6 and 7, to make sure that no people are present in zones where separated stages of the rocket may fall," the authorities said.
