GD completes acquisition of Spectrum Astro

General Dynamics announced Friday that it has completed the acquisition of aerospace company Spectrum Astro, finalizing a deal announced earlier this year. Spectrum Astro, an Arizona-based developer of primarily small spacecraft for government customers, will now operate as a separate organization within General Dynamics C4 Systems, also based in the Phoenix area. General Dynamics announced the deal back in March. General Dynamics didn't make clear what role; if any, Spectrum Astro founder David Thompson would have the company.
