STS-115: rollout (NASA/KSC) The space shuttle Atlantis is now on its launch pad in preparation for a launch later this month after weather finally allowed NASA to roll the shuttle out. Atlantis arrived at pad 39B at 8:54 am EDT (1254 GMT), nearly eight hours after leaving the Vehicle Assembly Building. The rollout, originally scheduled for early Monday, was delayed two days because of stormy weather. The delays will not affect the launch date for STS-115, which is currently scheduled for no earlier than August 27, at the beginning of a launch window that runs through September 7.
