Progress launched to ISS

Soyuz launch of Progress M-64 (RSC Energis) A Soyuz rocket launched a Progress cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station early Thursday. The Soyuz rocket lifted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome at 4:22 pm EDT Wednesday (2022 GMT Wednesday, 2:22 am Thursday local time) and placed the Progress M-64 into orbit nine minutes later. The Progress is carrying nearly 2.5 tons of food, water, and other supplies for the ISS. The spacecraft is scheduled to dock with the space station at 5:36 pm EDT (2136 GMT) Friday.
