Posted: Fri, Jul 25, 2008, 5:42 AM ET (0942 GMT)
The unit of The Boeing Company that includes the company's space business reported slight declines in revenue and profits in the second quarter, the company reported this week. Boeing's Network and Space Systems division reported earnings of $237 million on $2.8 billion in revenue in the second quarter, compared to $257 million on $2.9 billion in the same quarter of 2007. The company said that lower volume in unspecified "proprietary" business was the cause for the decline. Boeing overall reported earnings of $1.25 billion on revenues of just under $17 billion for the quarter.
