Posted: Wed, Oct 1, 2008, 7:55 AM ET (1155 GMT)
A former Microsoft executive who flew to the International Space Station as a space tourist last year plans to make a second trip there next year, Space Adventures announced Tuesday. Charles Simonyi, who flew to the ISS in spring 2007, plans to fly to the station again in spring 2009 on the Soyuz TMA-14 mission to the station. More details about his reason for taking the repeat trip and his plans for the mission are planned for release at a press conference next week. Simonyi was the fifth Space Adventures client to fly to the station; the company's sixth, Richard Garriott, is scheduled to go to the station later this month.
