Endeavour atop 747 prior to final ferry flight Poor weather has delayed the cross-country ferry flight of the space shuttle Endeavour to its new home in California until at least Wednesday. NASA has planned to begin the flight of the 747 carrying Endeavour on Monday, spending a day in Houston before going on to NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center on Wednesday and then touring California before landing at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday. However, weather along the flight path forced NASA to delay the beginning of the flight first to Tuesday and then to Wednesday. The shuttle will still make the same stops along the way, although the Houston visit will be reduced to an overnight stay, with Endeavour now scheduled to reach LA on Friday. Endeavour will towed across the city to its new home at the California Science Center near LA next month.
