British commercial space bill becomes law

A British commercial space bill has become law. The Space Industry Bill received Royal Assent Thursday after winning passage in Parliament. The bill creates a regulatory framework for commercial suborbital and orbital launches in the country, as well as establishment of spaceports. Government officials said the legislation is key to the growth of Britain's space industry.
