STS-107: launch (NASA/KSC) NASA is no longer planning a shuttle launch in 2003, and is instead focusing on returning the shuttle to flight in March 2004, MSNBC reported. According to internal NASA planning documents obtained by MSNBC, NASA is now planning the next shuttle mission, STS-114, for launch no earlier than March 11, 2004. NASA officials had publicly stated in recent weeks that they were still targeting a launch in December 2003, even while acknowledging that it was unlikely the shuttle would actually launch until early 2004. Under the new schedule three other shuttle missions, STS-115, 116, and 117, are also scheduled for July, September, and December 2004, by Atlantis and Endeavour.
