Ariane launch postponed

Ariane 5 ECA before launch of Skynet 5C (Arianespace) Friday's scheduled launch of two communications satellites on an Ariane 5 was scrubbed Friday because of a technical glitch. The Ariane 5 ECA launch was postponed Friday afternoon when problems were reported with a software test. No new launch date was immediately announced. The Ariane 5 is carrying the Skynet 5C satellite, which will be used by the British Ministry of Defence to complete its next-generation satellite communication network, as well as the Turksat 3A spacecraft for Turkish satellite operator Turksat.
