Delta 4 launch rescheduled for Saturday
Posted: Fri, Jan 16, 2009, 7:18 AM ET (1218 GMT)
Delta 4 Heavy before DSP-23 launch (ULA) The launch of a classified satellite on a Delta 4 Heavy rocket has been rescheduled for Saturday after continuing technical problems and weather concerns. The launch, scrubbed Wednesday because of a problem with a gaseous nitrogen valve in ground equipment, had been rescheduled for Thursday but was postponed again to give technicians more time to resolve the problem. Because of an approaching cold front, managers decided not to reschedule the launch for Friday, opting instead for Saturday at 7:33 pm EST (0033 GMT Sunday). The Delta 4 Heavy is carrying a classified payload identified only as NROL-26 for the National Reconnaissance Office.
