Senate confirms Bolden and Garver

The US Senate confirmed Wednesday night the nominations of Charles Bolden and Lori Garver as NASA administrator and deputy administrator. The Senate approved the nominations through unanimous consent, a process that expedites approval provided there is no opposition. The confirmation came one week after the two appeared before the Senate Commerce Committee for a relatively brief, uncontroversial hearing. The two are expected to begin work at NASA within the next week.
