STS-132 wraps up final spacewalk

STS-132: logo (NASA) Spacewalking astronauts completed the exchange of batteries outside the space station during the third and final spacewalk of the STS-132 mission on Friday. Mike Good and Garrett Reisman spent six hours and 46 minutes outside the ISS on the EVA, which ended at 1:13 pm EDT (1713 GMT) Friday. The two replaced the final two of six large batteries on the station's port truss; the first four had been swapped out during a spacewalk on Wednesday. They also performed some additional tasks not on the original spacewalk plan, including the installation of an ammonia jumper for the station's cooling system, that were added because Wednesday's EVA accomplished more than planned. Astronauts will spend Saturday performing final cargo transfers and other tasks before Atlantis undocks from the station on Sunday morning.
