Soyuz launches Progress spacecraft

Progress M-07M launch (RSC Energia) A Soyuz rocket launched a Progress spacecraft to the ISS, two days later than originally planned. The Soyuz rocket lifted off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 6:22 am EDT (1022 GMT) and placed the Progress M-07M into orbit. The launch had been scheduled for Wednesday but postponed because of high winds at Baikonur, a rare weather-related scrub at the spaceport. The spacecraft, carrying approximately 2.5 tons of food, water, propellant, and other supplies, is scheduled to dock with the ISS on Sunday at 7:58 am EDT (1158 GMT).
