Countdown begins for STS-133
Posted: Mon, Nov 1, 2010, 1:36 PM ET (1736 GMT)
STS-133: logo (NASA) NASA started the countdown Sunday for Wednesday afternoon's scheduled launch of the space shuttle Discovery on its final mission. Shuttle managers have their approval to start the countdown Sunday after technicians completed replacing seals in a pressurization system in one of the shuttle's OMS pods and performing a series of tests. That work pushed back the launch from Monday to Wednesday. Discovery is now scheduled to launch on mission STS-133 at 3:52 pm EDT (1952 GMT) Wednesday.
