Rocket Lab delays next launch attempt to 2018
Posted: Sun, Dec 24, 2017, 3:57 PM ET (2057 GMT)
Electron first launch May 2017 (Rocket Lab) Rocket Lab has decided to delay its next launch attempt of its Electron rocket until after the new year begins. The company said Dec. 16 that it had corrected the technical issue that caused the latest delay, but with only one day left in a 10-day launch window, it decided it was best to give launch crews a rest rather than seek an extension of the window. Weather caused several delays during the window as did technical problems, including an abort two seconds before a launch attempt a few days earlier.
