AAC Microtec to acquire Clyde Space

A Swedish company announced plans Friday to acquire Scottish cubesat manufacturer Clyde Space. AAC Microtec is offering about $35 million in cash and stock for Glasgow-based Clyde Space, a company that sells cubesats and components for them, as well as launch and communications services. The combined company, executive believe, can be a dominant force in the growing smallsat market. Clyde Space will remain in the city, where it employs more than 75 people.
