Space Systems Loral wins two satellite orders
Posted: Sun, Apr 1, 2018, 9:23 AM ET (1323 GMT)
Space Systems Loral scored a pair of satellite orders Monday. In addition to a deal announced early Monday to build the Amos-8 satellite for Israeli operator Spacecom, SSL will build the BSAT-4b satellite for Japanese operator B-SAT to provide ultra high-definition television programming in time for the 2020 Summer Olympics. SSL beat out Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for the Amos-8 order, which IAI blamed on a lack of support from the Israeli government.
