China launches Beidou navigation satellite
Posted: Sat, Apr 27, 2019, 8:52 AM ET (1252 GMT) China launched a new Beidou navigation satellite April 20. A Long March 3B lifted off from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center at 10:41 am EDT (1441 GMT) and placed the satellite into an inclined geosynchronous orbit. The satellite will enhance navigation services in the Asia-Pacific region. The launch was also the 100th for the Long March 3 family of rockets.
