Virgin Galactic prepares to move SpaceShipOne operations to New Mexico

Spaceport America terminal building (J. Foust) Virgin Galactic announced May 10 it will move SpaceShipTwo operations to New Mexico this summer ahead of final flight tests and commercial service of the suborbital spacecraft. The company is wrapping up work outfitting the interior of its facility at Spaceport America there, and expanding its offices in Las Cruces. Virgin Galactic, which last flew SpaceShipTwo in February, said it will finish up the flight test program for the vehicle at Spaceport America, but didn't give a date on when it planned to begin commercial flights.
