Virgin Galactic signs agreement with Italian Air Force

Virgin Galactic announced Wednesday a contract with the Italian Air Force for a research flight on its SpaceShipTwo suborbital vehicle. The contract, signed at the Italian Embassy in Washington, covers a SpaceShipTwo flight no earlier than late 2020 that will carry three Italian crewmembers and a set of experiments. That flight will take place from Spaceport America, although Italy has expressed interest in eventually hosting SpaceShipTwo flights from an Italian airport.
