Posted: Sat, Mar 5, 2022, 11:26 AM ET (1626 GMT)
China launched 22 satellites on a Long March 8 rocket Feb. 26. The rocket lifted off from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center at 10:06 pm EST (0302 GMT Feb. 27) on the second flight of the Long March 8. This version of the rocket did not have the side boosters used on the first Long March 8 launch in late 2020. The launch was a dedicated rideshare mission that included 10 Jilin-1 imaging satellites and five optical and SAR satellites for Chinese company Minospace, among other payloads.
