Posted: Sat, Apr 2, 2022, 10:14 AM ET (1414 GMT)
SES announced Monday it ordered a new GEO satellite from Thales Alenia Space. The SES-26 will replace the NSS-12 satellite at 57 degrees east in GEO, serving Europe, Africa and the Middle East using a software-defined payload. The order comes after SES purchased two other satellites from Thales Alenia in November for its key GEO slot of 19.2 degrees east.
