France joins Artemis Accords

France became the 20th country to join the Artemis Accords. France formally signed the Accords, which set out best practices for sustainable space exploration, at an event Tuesday in Washington. France signaled its interest the Accords last year, and its decision to sign is seen as building momentum for the agreement. At a separate event, the US officially joined the French-led Space Climate Observatory, a project to share satellite data to monitor climate change.
