CST-100 Starliner in orbit (Boeing) Boeing took another charge against earnings because of delays in its CST-100 Starliner commercial crew program. In an SEC filing Wednesday, the company said it recorded a $195 charge in the third quarter. The primary reason for this charge was to address delays in its first three post-certification, or operational, flights that the company previously thought would be completed by 2024 but instead will be done in 2026. Boeing has now recorded $886 million in losses on Starliner because of delays in the vehicle's development.
