NASA announced Thursday it selected the vehicle to launch a pair of smallsats called ESCAPADE that will orbit Mars to study its magnetosphere. The mission is scheduled to launch in late 2024. Neither NASA nor Blue Origin disclosed additional details about the award, including whether ESCAPADE will launch as a dedicated mission on New Glenn, the large vehicle yet to make its first launch, or as a rideshare with other payloads. They also did not release the cost of the award.
