China launches commercial remote sensing satellites

China launched a pair of commercial high-resolution imaging satellites early Thursday. A Long March 2C rocket lifted off at 2:08 a.m. Eastern from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and placed into orbit the SuperView Neo-1 03 and 04 satellites. The two satellites are part of a constellation of nine optical and radar satellites, eventually growing to 28, to provide high-resolution imagery.
