Posted: Sat, May 10, 2025, 9:40 AM ET (1340 GMT)
The FAA has given environmental approval for a five-fold increase in Starship's launch rate in Texas. The FAA released Tuesday the final environmental assessment that concluded there would not be significant impacts by increasing the limit on Starship launches from the Starbase site from 5 per year to 25. The FAA said it received more than 12,300 public comments about the environmental assessment, and in public meetings many opposed the increase because of fears of adverse environmental effects.
