spacetoday.net: space news from around the webin association with SpaceNews

about spacetoday.net

Spacetoday.net was created in early 2001 to be the first place space professionals, enthusiasts, and others would turn to to learn about the latest developments in space-related fields. This site provides links to space news articles from throughout the web, on topics ranging from astronomy and space science to technology to policy and legislation. In addition, spacetoday.net provides news summaries: one paragraph reports on the most significant space news, to make it even easier to get caught up on the latest news and events.

Spacetoday.net was founded by Jeff Foust. Jeff was editor of SpaceViews, a leading online space news publication, from 1993 until its parent company, Starport.com, was acquired by SPACE.com in 2000. Some of the features of spacetoday.net, such as the links to other news articles, had their genesis on SpaceViews, while other features are new to spacetoday.net. Jeff also writes for a number of other publications, including Spaceflight Now and Sky & Telescope magazine, and is coauthor of the book The Astronomer's Computer Companion. He has a BS with honors in geophysics from Caltech and a PhD in planetary sciences from MIT.

This site is very much a work-in-progress, so any feedback — good or bad — about the site and its contents is certainly appreciated. Contact us at info@spacetoday.net.

Thanks for visiting, and ad astra!
