MOSCOW, June 22. /TASS/. Production of engines by enterprises of Russia’s state-run space corporation Roscosmos has grown sharply, including as a result of its work on aviation engine projects, Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin has told TASS.
"Engine production is seeing a sharp growth, On the one hand, we have stopped delivering engines to the United States, so there have been a certain decline in orders and work in this area. On the other hand, we have stepped into the sphere of aviation engines and are working to produce PD-8, PD-14, PS-90 and thrust reversals for aircraft," Rogozin said.
As part of an effort to diversify its production, Roscosmos enterprises are also working to produce isolettes for premature babies, defibrillators and mobile lung ventilators.
Earlier, Director of Roscosmos Diversification Center told Roscosmos TV that the corporation was planning to create a single enterprise, specializing in healthcare equipment and technologies.
